The average course fee for this B. Planning is about 1.5 lakhs annually. University like Manipal University has a bit higher charge i.e. 2.66 lakhs annually. On the other hand, the School of Planning and Architecture charges Rs. 46,800 annually. After completion of the course, eligible candidates are offered jobs having CTC ranging from 3.6 Lakhs to 6 lakhs.
There is a slight difference in part II of the exam paper type between the B.Planning syllabus vs the B.Arch syllabus for JEE Mains . The syllabus has three subject portions i.e. Mathematics, Aptitude, and Planning. The NTA conducts the particular paper for JEE B. Planning for a total of 400 marks including Planning (Part-II) as one of the main papers. For Part I-II, the paper remains similar to B. Architecture.

Today we take a look at planning use classes that cover various forms of warehouse and industrial use – the B Class planning uses.
PLANNING USE CLASSES IN ENGLAND
In England, the Town and Country Planning (Use Classes) Order 1987 (as amended) sets out a classification of use classes that apply across the country.
Unless allowed under ‘ Permitted Development ‘ rules, planning permission is needed when there is a ‘material change of use’ between the classes as this constitutes development in planning terms.

CLASS B USES
Prior to September 2020, there were three main B class uses:
- B1 (Offices/Research and Development/Light Industry)
- B2 (General Industry) and
- B8 (Storage and Distribution).
Former uses B3, B4, B5, B6, B7 had been consolidated into the other B classes prior to 2020.
ONLY TWO OF THE B-CLASS USES REMAIN:
Class b2 – general industrial .
This covers buildings used for any industrial process other than one falling within the uses described in Class E, sub-paragraph (g) – see below.
It is possible under Permitted Development rights to change to B8 subject to various criteria, e.g. up to a certain floorspace. Check with your local authority for details.
CLASS B8 – STORAGE AND DISTRIBUTION
This covers all types of storage (e.g. warehouses or outside storage) and distribution use.
It is possible under Permitted Development rights to change to use class C3 (dwellinghouse) subject to various criteria and the prior approval process. Check with your local authority for details.
THE NEW CLASS E AND ABOLITION OF CLASS B1
Class B1 was deleted and subsumed into a new Class E in September 2020.
Class E (Commercial, Business and Service), includes a broad and diverse range of uses which principally serve the needs of visiting members of the public and or are suitable for a town centre area.
Class E allows for a mix of uses which recognises that a building may be in several different uses concurrently or be used for different uses at different times of the day.
Use Class – E (g) comprises uses which can be carried out in a residential area without detriment to its amenity:
(i) Offices to carry out any operational or administrative functions,
(ii) Research and development of products or processes
(iii) Industrial processes (light industry)
New Class E uses benefit from permitted development rights that include:
- Changes to use class C3 (dwellinghouses) subject to prior approval
- Changes to a mixed use for anything within Class E and as up to two flats subject to prior approval
- … and back again
- Change to a state funded school or back to a previous lawful use

What is Bachelor of Planning?
Bachelor of planning is the academic degree for undergraduate courses that train students in various fields related to urban human settlements such as designing, engineering, managing and overcoming challenges. The degree primarily focuses on environmental issues and its objective is sustainable development and managing natural resources. Bachelor of planning course is an undergraduate Architecture and Planning Degree course in India for four years. This programme is specifically designed to know the importance of environmental management and sustainable development. Bachelor of planning is a subsidiary of engineering, however, it is induced with the environmental management, human resource preservation and development.
The study of planning enhance the students with certain skills like designing, numeracy, sketching and computer-aided designing. It also strengthens students communication and writing skills as well as versatility and flexibility in dealing with an unforeseen situation. The study of bachelor of planning enables the students to think logically and solve problems analytically. Sustainable development and management of the human population is one of the major tasks in today’s world. The study centred around computer-aided designing, art & advanced visual communication, water supply and sanitation, energy-efficient design, modular coordination, metropolitan planning, infrastructure planning and system management.

Bachelor of Planning (BPlan) is a four-year full-time undergraduate course. It deals with the ultimate planning techniques for human settlements. The working areas include metropolitan cities, small cities, congested towns and also villages.

The theater world clearly understands the importance of uninterrupted operations. There is usually an understudy in theater for most of the significant roles. It is the job of the understudy to be able to step into a role on short notice should one of the principal actors fall ill or be otherwise unable to perform their duties.
Regrettably, corporations and other business organizations still need to fully embrace the value of an understudy. In other words, so often, if a principal player, i.e., a CEO or CFO CFO , can no longer fulfill their duties (either voluntarily or involuntarily), no one is waiting in the wings to take over.
Succession planning is not an option for businesses that want to stay relevant and competitive. Succession planning is "the identification and development of future leaders within an organization." A lack of succession planning can lead to chaos and uncertainty at the top, which can quickly trickle down throughout the organization.
While some may view succession planning as a daunting task, its importance overrides any and all effort. Succession planning must begin with the belief that everyone has tenure and no one is irreplaceable.
Let’s take a look at succession planning at Disney. Bob Iger assumed the CEO role at Disney in 2005. He took over in what has been described as a “clearly delineated six-month interregnum where outgoing CEO Michael Eisner brought him up to speed.” 1 Fast forward to 2020, when Disney named Bob Chapek as CEO to replace Iger. Just about two years later, in June 2022, the Disney Board extended Chapek’s employment agreement by three years, and five months after that, in November 2022, they terminated him. Shortly thereafter, Iger returned to his CEO role.

Part of this story that is no longer mentioned but bares noting is that Iger was originally set to retire in 2016 and had chosen then COO Tom Staggs as his likely successor. The board was not unequivocal in their support of Staggs, so Iger decided to stay on until 2021, and Staggs left Disney.
In this latest starring role at Disney, Iger has stated that he will stay no longer than two years. But we have heard this before. The fact of the matter is that no matter how long Iger intends to stay, he and the board should be diligently planning for his succession today and almost every day going forward. Yes, Iger is seen almost mystically at Disney, but he cannot and should not be the only person on the planet who can run the company.
One of the key and critical roles of the Board of Directors is succession planning. CEO succession planning is most important, of course, but having succession plans for other key leadership roles ensures uninterrupted operations when changes inevitably happen. At its core, this is a cost-effective and risk-mitigation strategy.
Lest we walk away thinking that Disney is unusual, on February 13 th , 2023, the Wall Street Journal reported that Chevron’s CVX Board of Directors is considering waiving the company’s mandatory retirement age (65) to allow CEO Mike Wirth to remain CEO. 2 The article stated that the company does not have an internal candidate ready to succeed Wirth. While I agree with the board’s idea that pushing out a well-performing CEO is unnecessary, it is also essential to have a succession plan in place and ready, no matter the circumstances.
A well-thought-through and planned strategy for uninterrupted leadership at the top of the (mouse!) house is the least that boards can offer their stakeholders. It takes time to cultivate and develop the skills and expertise necessary to guide an organization and to do justice to the process all options need to be considered. In an ideal world, the understudy is always ready and waiting to step into the spotlight so that the show can just go on.

El "Plan B" achica al INE, remueve funcionarios y corta el proceso electoral
El "Plan B" de reforma electoral propuesto por el presidente Andrés Manuel López Obrador plantea la reestructuración del Instituto Nacional Electoral (INE), lo que implica la liquidación de trabajadores especializados en materia electoral y la remoción anticipada del Secretario Ejecutivo, Edmundo Jacobo Molina.
Este y otros detalles se detectan en la revisión de la reforma a leyes secundarias, la cual incluye un recorte al INE, mismo que podría cristalizarse tras la reorganización de estructuras del órgano electoral y que este jueves al ser publicada la segunda parte del "Plan B" en el el Diario Oficial de la Federación (DOF), ya comenzó a tener efectos con el cese inmediato del que fuera su Secretario Ejecutivo, Edmundo Jacobo Molina.
Esta reforma fue aprobada en el Senado el pasado miércoles 22 de febrero para su promulgación y entrada en vigor una vez que se publique en el Diario Oficial de la Federación (DOF).

Entre los cambios esperados estaban lo concerniente al INE, en este caso, la nueva iniciativa no modifica las facultades del INE para integrar el padrón y la lista nominal de electores; aunque sí plantea cambios a los procesos de organización electoral y cambiar las fechas de inicio del proceso electoral federal por lo que, de entrar en vigor para 2024, la elección comenzaría la tercera semana de noviembre de 2023.

También se propone modificar el proceso de cómputo de votos, mismo que iniciaría desde las 18:00 horas del día de la elección, lo que hará innecesario un Programa de Resultados Electorales Preliminares. (PREP).
La conclusión de cómputos de las elecciones se establece a más tardar el viernes siguiente a las elecciones. Hoy esos cómputos inician el miércoles siguiente a los comicios y terminan el jueves.

Un punto clave de la reforma es modificar las instancias de dirección del INE. Con la propuesta presentada el 6 de diciembre se eliminará la Junta General Ejecutiva (JGE), desde donde se dictan directrices de ejercicio de presupuesto y criterios de organización electoral.
En su lugar, se plantea crear una Comisión de Administración con cinco consejeros. Se plantea la remoción del actual secretario ejecutivo, Edmundo Jacobo Molina –que fue reelecto en 2020 hasta 2026–, ya que se ordena la designación de un encargado de despacho para el periodo 2023-2029.
Modificar la estructura del INE fue algo de que captó la atención en redes por expertos en temas legislativos.

Entre los puntos relevantes de la reforma se encuentra que deberá extinguirse el Fideicomiso para de pasivo laboral y el de Infraestructura Inmobiliaria del Instituto. El primero será empleado para cubrir posibles indemnizaciones y liquidar a una parte del Servicio Profesional Electoral Nacional (SPEN).
Este SPEN actualmente integra las Juntas Locales Ejecutivas, que es el órgano del INE en las 32 entidades, así como a los consejos distritales donde hay personal especializado en Organización, capacitación y Registro Federal de Electores (RFE) .
Adicionalmente, se propone que en vez de 300 consejos distritales sólo funcionen 260 de forma permanente y 40 se agreguen en elecciones .
Todos los cambios en la estructura del INE deberán hacerse con cargo al presupuesto ya aprobado y no habrá recursos adicionales.
La reforma establece que todo funcionario público del INE deberá sujetar su salario a la percepción del presidente y, por tanto, se deberán revisar los tabuladores salariales del personal a más tardar seis meses después de entrada en vigor la reforma
A más tardar el 1 de mayo deberán emitirse los lineamientos para el redimensionamiento y compactación de la estructura orgánica del INE.

Sin tocar la constitución.
La propuesta no plantea modificar aspectos incluidos en la Constitución, al menos sobre número de integrantes del INE o extinción de los Organismos Públicos Electorales locales, así como número de integrantes o forma de elección del Congreso.
La iniciativa incluye reformas a la Ley Orgánica del Poder Judicial, la Ley General de Instituciones y Procedimientos Electorales y la Ley General de Partidos Políticos, además de que abroga la Ley General del Sistema de Medios de Impugnación en Materia Electoral.

Addressing the asbestos inside the former powerplant site is essential, SCCD Supervisor and Acme Working Group member Susan Holmes said. It will allow conservationists to stay on track in removing contaminants at the site, whether or not the Acme structures are reused.

SHERIDAN — The Sheridan County Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public meeting to educate the community on what the current Sheridan county 2020 comprehensive plan provides for the Acme area and will discuss a possible amendment to current zoning regulations.
The county commission is hoping to identify what can be done to preserve the natural features and open space in the Acme special planning area and what features should be included in the area on the comprehensive plan.
“Come find out about the background of the zoning and planning for the site, and the things the planning commission is taking into consideration and to talk about what is important to take into account for the area.” said Sheridan County Planner Mark Reid.
The county commission is looking for public comments on how the area should be zoned and managed, s well as what is important about that area for the residents of Sheridan County. The comprehensive plan identifies important natural features and historic sites in the area such as the Acme Power Plant.
The Acme Power Plant was constructed in 1910 on the bank of the Tongue River outside of Sheridan as a means to provide power to the residents of Sheridan. The plant moved in and out of commission over the 20th century and was even a private family’s warehouse in 1976.
From there, the plant was purchased by Perkins Power in 1983 and later filed for bankruptcy in 1991 after the joint venture with Petro Oil & Gas to build a $50 million dollar plant at the Acme site failed.
From this bankruptcy, Black Diamond Resources became the default owner of the Acme Power Plant, which had plans to convert the Acme plant to a coal gasification plant by 1996. This venture failed as well, which ultimately transferred the land to Golden Eagle Resources, and then to Fort Acme. The site remained under Fort Acme until they assigned salvage rights to a private individual in 2000.
The Acme plant was approved by the Sheridan Board of County Commissioners to be used as a vehicle storage and disposal facility in 2008. Finally, the plant was purchased by the Sheridan County Conservation District in cooperation with the Sheridan Community Land Trust and the Nature Conservancy in 2017, which is when the Acme Power Plant Reclamation Project became a reality. The vision of the project has three main objectives: protecting land and water quality, capturing the historic importance of the site and ensuring public access and use.
The restoration project is a collaborative effort between the Sheridan County Conservation District; Sheridan Community Land Trust; Sheridan County; Wyoming Game and Fish Department; Sheridan County Travel and Tourism; Padlock Ranch; Black Gold, LLC; Montana Dakota Utilities; Museum at the Bighorns; Sheridan County YMCA; Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce; Wyoming State Parks and Cultural Resources; Sheridan Recreation District/Parks and Recreation Board; and the city of Sheridan.
Initial environmental assessments of the site confirmed hazardous substances and petroleum hydrocarbons, as well as multiple other contaminants such as asbestos, lead-based paint and building debris. The testing showed the site is unsafe and the current priority is to clean up contaminants to protect the land and water quality around the site and in the Tongue River, as well as ensure public access and use and preserve the historical and cultural importance of the site.
“A variety of different contaminants have been present in the soil over the years, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) support has been really helpful to differentiate the types of contaminants and to devise clean-up methodologies to start the clean-up process,” Powder River Basin Council staff attorney Shannon Anderson said.
According to the Acme Reclamation Project once completed, the reclaimed Acme Power Plant will serve the Sheridan County community through added outdoor recreation access. Outdoor recreation is a fast-growing industry in Wyoming and the Acme Power Plant restoration would provide space for a multitude of recreation types including hunting, hiking, bird watching and other types of recreation. The National Audubon Society has designated the area as an important bird area for Sheridan County.
“There is interest in blending the site into the overall river ecosystem with tourism and recreation opportunities.” Anderson said. “But until the contamination is cleaned up there is an open-ended question on what comes next.”
Sheridan County Conservation District staff ask for recreationists to please respect fences and adjacent landowners by not attempting to enter the site. There is the potential to track contaminants to surrounding areas and/or for visitors to injure themselves amid the debris.
The Sheridan County Planning and Zoning Commission meeting will be held in the Sheridan County Courthouse, second floor commissioners board room March 2 at 5:30 p.m.
“It is a public meeting to receive comments from the public about the future of the Acme area,” Powder River Power Basin Council staff attorney Shannon Anderson said. “It would be great to have folks show up and give comments on what they want to see for the future of the site.”

Trump planning first Iowa trip since announcing 2024 bid
DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Donald Trump is planning to visit Iowa in mid-March, a first foray to the leadoff caucus state since announcing his 2024 White House campaign.
The former president hinted at an Iowa trip “very soon” in a radio interview with Des Moines talk show host Simon Conway on Tuesday. A Trump aide confirmed Wednesday that plans were underway for an upcoming appearance, but declined to provide details about the location or date, beyond the middle of this month.
The aide spoken on condition of anonymity to discuss plans that have not been publicly announced.
“We’re planning something very soon,” Trump told Conway on WHO radio. “And then we’ll be coming back at least a couple of times before the election.”
Trump has been notably absent in Iowa, where Republican candidate Nikki Haley, his former U.N. ambassador, and potential rivals Mike Pence, the former vice president, and Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C., have visited after a slow start to campaigning in the state.
Some Iowa Republican activists, including Gloria Mazza, chairwoman of the Polk County Republicans, representing Iowa’s most populous county, have noted that Trump has stayed away so far. Trump traveled in January to New Hampshire, scheduled to host the first Republican presidential primary next year, and South Carolina, the South’s first primary.

A regañadientes y bajo el anuncio de que impugnará todo el ordenamiento legal del Plan B , el Instituto Nacional Electoral ( INE ) inició los trabajos para la compactación administrativa que le ordenan las nuevas leyes.
Los consejeros del INE nombraron una comisión para hacer un primer diagnóstico de adecuación.
En la sesión también han nombrado a un encargado de despacho de la Secretaría Ejecutiva se trata de Roberto Heycher Cardiel Soto, ayer su titular, Edmundo Jacobo Molina, fue destituido ayer tras 15 años en el cargo.

El presidente del Instituto, Lorenzo Córdova calificó el Plan B como un retroceso democrático.
El decreto daña desde el poder las condiciones básicas para celebrar elecciones, apuntó Lorenzo Córdova.
Ante las declaraciones sobrevino la respuesta de Morena , a través de su representante, Eurípides Flores: lo que se daña es a la mafia electoral que se ha enquistado en este instituto, sostuvo.
Lorenzo Córdova lo interrumpió tras sostener que no permitiría el ánimo de vulgaridad e insultos a los consejeros.
“Mafia electoral, es momento de cumplir la ley aunque no les guste” , reviró el morenista.

Lorenzo Córdova advirtió que INE evitará que el Plan B destruya “lo que tanto ha costado”
La segunda parte de la reforma electoral ya fue publicada en el diario oficial de la federación.

Lorenzo Córdova , consejero presidente del Instituto Nacional Electoral (INE ), advirtió que el organismo recurrirá a todas las instancias legales para frenar el plan B electoral. Esto luego de que este 2 de marzo la segunda parte de la reforma electoral fue publicada en el Diario Oficial de la Federación (DOF).
Afirmó que con ello, el órgano electoral busca evitar que la reforma provoque la destrucción de “lo que tanto ha costado”. Y es que para él, el INE ha permitido nueve años de estabilidad, gobernabilidad y paz pública sin conflictos postelectorales , el cual aseguró es el periodo más largo con estas características.
“Recurriremos a todas las instancias legales a nuestro alcance, a través de todos los medios jurídicos que la Constitución prevé, para impedir que esta reforma destruya lo que tanto trabajo le ha costado edificar a la sociedad mexicana”
Este jueves el INE tomó la primera medida jurídica contra el plan B ante la destitución de Edmundo Jacobo , quien por más de una década fue secretario ejecutivo de la institución.
“El día de hoy el instituto ya ha interpuesto un recurso ante el Tribunal Electoral para restablecer el orden constitucional e impedir que una mayoría tiránica, autoritaria desde el Congreso de la Unión, sin seguir los cauces institucionales previstos para ello, que son, precisamente el juicio político, haya cesado a quien fuera nuestro secretario ejecutivo”, indicó Córdova.
El cese de Edmundo Jacobo fue anunciado por Córdova el 1 de marzo en redes sociales, donde emitió un mensaje de despedida en el que le aseguró que la democracia, la sociedad mexicana y el INE le deben mucho. Asimismo afirmó que estaría de vuelta “cuando el orden constitucional y democrático sea restaurado”.
Además de que el consejero presidente recordó este hecho, puso énfasis en que el INE comenzó la batalla jurídica desde que impugnó la parte del plan B que entró en vigor el 27 de diciembre de 2022.
Córdova lanzó esta advertencia durante un evento de ratificación de un convenio con el Partido Revolucionario Institucional (PRI) para el uso de una app móvil en el proceso de afiliación de militantes. En el encuentro también participó el líder priista Alejandro Alito Moreno Cárdenas , quien reconoció al INE como promotor de “herramientas que favorezcan a la organización interna de los partidos políticos”.
Por otra parte, este 2 de marzo Moreno Cárdenas lanzó una advertencia similar a la del INE a través de redes sociales, pues adelantó que la oposición responderá ante lo que consideró como “el mayor golpe del gobierno de Morena a la democracia .”
Moreno Cárdenas señaló que el PRI presentará una acción de inconstitucionalidad ante la Suprema Corte Justicia de la Nación (SCJN) en respuesta a un mandato ciudadano. Esto luego de la marcha a favor del INE celebrada el pasado 26 de febrero, en la que aseguró quedó demostrado el repudio nacional al plan B.
Tal como el INE, el PRI y los partidos Acción Nacional y de la Revolución Democrática i mpugnaron la primera parte de la reforma electoral , relativa a Ley General de Comunicación Social y a la Ley General de Responsabilidades Administrativas.
El pasado 22 de febrero el ministro Alberto Pérez Dayán admitió a trámite las acciones de inconstitucionalidad presentadas por Va por México. Asimismo determinó que las modificaciones a las leyes antes mencionadas no serán aplicables en los procesos electorales en Coahuila y Estado de México.
Pérez Dayán argumentó que el decreto fue publicado durante la veda electoral, lo cual imposibilita que tenga efecto en las próximas elecciones estatales. Asimismo señaló que “su aplicación podría causar afectaciones irreparables al sistema democrático y a los derechos fundamentales implicados en éste”.

2 men cited for killing, planning to eat american bald eagle.

STANTON COUNTY, Neb. ( KCAU ) — Two men have been cited for killing an American bald eagle and planning to make a meal of it, Nebraska authorities say.
According to a release from the Stanton County Sheriff’s Office , officials were called around 4 p.m. to investigate a suspicious vehicle at the main Wood Duck Recreation Area near Stanton, Nebraska.
Officials said they found the vehicle in a field, where the two men had a dead eagle with them.
According to the release, officials said Ramiro Hernandez-Tziquin and Domingo Zetino-Hernandez, both 20, had shot the eagle, a protected species, and planned to cook and eat it.
Officials cited the two men, both of whom are Honduran nationals who needed an interpreter, for the unlawful possession of an eagle. Herneanez-Tziquin was also cited for not having a driver’s license.
Nebraska Games and Parks took the bird and the rifle allegedly used to shoot it.
The investigation is ongoing, and more serious charges are possible.
According to the National Audubon Society , the number of bald eagles had been in serious decline — due largely to shootings — during most of the 20th century. However, their numbers have been seeing a gradual increase since the 1970s.

Britain and the EU have been urged to strike another agreement as fast as possible so the UK can rejoin the bloc’s flagship innovation scheme as the Prime Minister mulls over an alternative plan. Rishi Sunak’s "decisive breakthrough" on Brexit negotiations with the EU has opened the door for cooperation on research again.

Science Minisiter Chi Onwurah told Express.co.uk that further delay and a failure to rejoin will “cost us dear”.
She said: “Sunak and Freeman (the Science Minister) seem to be pedalling back on association and whether they are going to achieve it and that is a concern. It would be a massive failure on their part and cost us dear.”
It comes after the delay stopped British researchers from accessing prestigious EU grants to work on projects ranging from AI and Quantium mechanics to climate change research. It also scuppered opportunities to partner up with European scientists. This was particularly damaging as collaboration is deemed crucial for research.
Mr Onwurah said: “The massive uncertainty has cost us business investment and damaged our reputation. Particularly the scientists who moved abroad to get their promised funding.

“I speak to investors and science businesses all the time and this is on their list of reasons why the UK isn’t as attractive as it was because they didn’t know whether they were going to be part of the biggest science programme or not.
“This has put a barrier on scientific collaboration and we can’t fully measure what the costs of that are.”
Science Minister George Freeman's "Plan B" was drawn up to account for a scenario in which the Northern Ireland Protocol deal was never struck. Part of his plan was already in effect as it had guaranteed UK funding for successful British Horizon grant applicants.
But the Commission may want the UK to pay a share of Horizon administration costs, even for the years Britain was not associated, due to researchers still applying for European Research Council grants (ERC).
Mr Freeman has warned that it could take up to a year to rejoin the programme if Mr Sunak does decide he wants Britain to rejoin.

Peter Mason, who leads global research and innovation policy at Universities UK, previously told Science Business: “If an agreement on the Northern Ireland Protocol is reached, the UK’s financial contribution to the Horizon budget will need to be renegotiated before UK association can be confirmed, to reflect the fact that the UK Government has been funding UK participation in the programme over the last two years.”
British researchers’ interest in Horizon also plummeted because it is banned from joining, meaning the UK could tell the bloc that it should pay less to reflect the fact it is getting less money back.
But despite concerns that the UK may have to pay for parts of the scheme that it did not access due to a delay, other researchers are optimistic that the Government can sort this out.
Dr Daniel Rathbone, Assistant Director, Campaign for Science and Engineering, told Express.co.uk : “Negotiators should now press to associate the UK to Horizon Europe as soon as possible.
“There are clearly some outstanding issues to be solved including around the financial contribution but I think they are eminently solvable in a pretty short time frame. The Government has been able to negotiate the Northern Ireland issue in about four months and I don’t think you could say that this issue is anywhere near as complicated as the one with Northern Ireland.
“If we can get this done quickly, we can build back on what we have lost over the last couple of years and it does not need to be irretrievable.
“We are not going to immediately get back to the kind of levels that we have seen in the past, it will take some time to build back up to that. But there is no reason that we couldn’t if we sort it out very quickly.
“I don’t think it needs to take that long. As long as there is strong political will on both sides, I think those issues can be sorted out.”
A Government spokesperson said: “The Windsor Framework delivers for the people and businesses of Northern Ireland. It ensures free-flowing trade in goods within the UK, protects Northern Ireland’s place in our Union, and safeguards sovereignty in Northern Ireland.
“We will continue to discuss how we can work constructively with the EU in a range of areas, including future collaboration on research and innovation.”

Maine Independent Sen. Angus King and Sen. Bill Cassidy, a Republican from Louisiana, are leading a group of lawmakers in a proposal to raise the full retirement age to around 70 years old from 67, and create a sovereign-wealth fund that would help fund Social Security , according to a media report.
Among options being considered are changing the way Social Security calculates monthly benefits to reflect the number of years spent working and paying into Social Security, rather than the existing formula that calculates benefits based on a worker’s average earnings over 35 years, according to a report by news website Semafor, citing two people briefed on the plan.
The potential plan also includes a proposed sovereign-wealth fund that could be funded with $1.5 trillion or more in borrowed money, according to Semafor. If the fund failed to generate an 8% return, both the maximum taxable income and the payroll tax rate would be increased to ensure Social Security stays solvent for another 75 years.
The offices of King and Cassidy declined to comment specifically on the media report.
“This is an example of two leaders trying to find a solution to a clear and foreseeable danger. Although the final framework is still taking shape, there are no cuts for Americans currently receiving Social Security benefits in our plan. Indeed, many will receive additional benefits,” Cassidy and King spokesmen said in a joint email statement to MarketWatch.
“The Social Security trust fund is going insolvent in 11 years. Senators Cassidy and King have been working on a legislative solution—which has been reported in the past. The plan is not finalized,” representatives for Cassidy and King said in the email.
If no action is taken, the trust fund for Social Security will be unable to pay out 100% of benefits starting around 2035. Changes to the program often are referred to as the “third rail of politics” because the issue is so politically charged.
The last major changes to bolster Social Security’s finances were made in 1983. Part of those changes included a gradual increase of the full retirement age to 67 from 65.
In a recent MarketWatch column , Alicia Munnell, director of the Center for Retirement Research at Boston College, wrote raising the full retirement age for Social Security should be seen as a benefit cut.

“At any moment, only about half of private-sector workers are covered by any type of workplace retirement plan. That means some people never are covered and are totally reliant on Social Security, while others move in and out of coverage and end up with modest balances,” Munnell wrote. “Moreover, increasing the FRA is the most pernicious form of benefit cut, because it hurts the most vulnerable who are forced to claim early.”
President Biden recently brought Social Security into headlines when he vowed to protect Social Security and Medicare during his State of the Union address and following remarks.
The potential proposal from the group led by King and Cassidy are among other options circulating Washington. A recent proposal from senators Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and Bernie Sanders (I-Vermont) seeks to shore up Social Security by raising the top rate of income tax by a third, and the top rate of capital-gains tax by more than a half.

And reports state that the story is set to undergo several changes and swerves ahead of WrestleMania 39.
What is Triple H planning for WrestleMania 39?
Rumours for quite some time have indicated that Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler are set to challenge for the Women's Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 39.
However, it's been suggested that the former MMA stars might not be facing Lynch and Lita at WrestleMania 39, which might cause catch some fans by surprise...
The Wrestling Observer is reporting that the storyline is set to undergo several "twists and turns", which could lead to more than just one match being booked, via WrestleTalk .
The only thing we know is that the women’s tag title situation with the six women involved, as well as Bayley and Trish Stratus, has several twists and turns yet to come before the matches are finalized. Whether that means another title change back, or a Stratus heel turn... we’ve got more storyline to get to the destination of likely two different matches coming out of this.
This lines up with a report from WRKD Wrestling which emerged this week, which suggested that several of the members of the women's storyline within WWE right now were set for rather surprising roles.
As noted though, and again reiterated by the Wrestling Observer, but one thing that is known is that Rousey and Baszler are still set to challenge for the Women's Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 39.
